Enrolments are open for the NZCWTC

Our Wool Industry needs more good staff and there are great opportunities for people with the right wool qualifications!

The New Zealand Certificate in Wool Technology and Classing (NZCWTC) is the only wool qualification of its type left in New Zealand and is needed for Wool Classer Registration and many other industry roles. People completing the course have a thorough understanding of all aspects of our industry, including the wool value chain, wool classification and typing, working in the wool industry and woolshed management. The course is delivered by Telford, a faculty of the Southern Institute of Technology, which is now part of Te Pukenga.

The NZCWTC is a part-time programme taught mainly on-line using study guides and assignments. You can study anywhere, in your own time, supported by your tutors and short block-courses run in both the North and South Islands. Richard Gavigan and Laurie Boniface look after the course and have many years of wool industry and teaching experience. They are passionate about wool and are available to help you 24-7.
