WRONZ Scholarships for Telford Students

Celebrating WRONZ Scholarships for Telford Students

The 2020 recipients of WRONZ Scholarships for Telford Students have been celebrated in the Southland Institute of Technology’s 2020 annual report.

Marc Ludlow, Olivia McCorkindale and Jenna McLellan were recipients of the WRONZ/NZWCA Wool Technology Scholarship last year and have now graduated with the Certificate in Wool Technology, completed by distance learning through SIT’s Telford campus.

“Winning the WRONZ scholarship gave me the self-confidence to know that I did a great job with my study. It has allowed me to form relationships with members of the WRONZ and NZWCA, who I hope to continue to work alongside in the years to come”.

Olivia McCorkindale

The course provides a comprehensive overview of the whole wool industry, giving graduates a firm foundation on which to forge a career in the field. NZWCA partners with The Wool Research Organisation of New Zealand (WRONZ) to fund and administer the scholarships, with the goal of actively encouraging and supporting training for the future of the NZ wool industry.
