My name is Trudi Landreth and I have been in the Wool Industry for over 25 years. I started wool-handling with Harry Ainsley and worked around Central Otago, where I was fortunate enough to meet classer Ken Urquhart. He mentored and encouraged me to do the Diploma in Wool and Wool Technology at Massey University, which I did, and was then offered a position with Wrightson Wool in Napier when there were a large number of Merinos brought to the North Island.
Since then, I have been involved in Wool Harvesting training with a couple of providers, and still, do training for brokers. Training is my real passion- passing on knowledge to our up and coming wool Industry people, and offering real hands-on support and advice.
I continue working with local wool brokers during the mainshear seasons in the Hawkes Bay.
